If AI doesn’t cite you, you don’t exist (upcoming webinar)

What if your best content never gets clicked… but still drives revenue?

That’s not a hypothetical.

It’s already happening.

AI tools like Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity are answering questions before users ever visit your site.

Which means:

  • Your rankings can go up, while your traffic goes down.
  • Your content can be “seen”, without being clicked.
  • And your brand can be invisible, if it’s not cited.

So the real question is:

If decisions aren’t happening on your website anymore, where are they happening?

During our next webinar, I’m breaking this down step-by-step:

The Rise of Answer Engines: How to Get Cited, Trusted, and Chosen in the AI Era

Tuesday, May 5 at 8 a.m. PDT

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • Why rankings are becoming less relevant—and what replaces them
  • How AI actually decides which brands to cite (and ignore)
  • The new content model built for AI extraction, not clicks
  • How to build authority *outside* your website
  • A 30-day plan to start showing up in AI answers

This is one of the biggest shifts in digital marketing in the last decade.

And most teams haven’t adapted yet.

👉 Register now to save your seat (and get the replay)

See you there,

Neil Patel

PS: If you’re not being cited by AI, your competitors are. That gap is only going to grow. If you want help, let’s talk.

AI is now deciding what your emails say

Gmail and Apple Mail have moved beyond spam filters and predictive text, email summaries are now the default. That means ISPs are deciding what parts of your email get seen first… not you.

Why this matters:

Your message may be consumed without the email ever being opened.

Click rates may drop (even if performance doesn’t).

The “top” of your email just became the entire email in many cases.

So, what should you do?

  1. Frontload your most important message (so AI pulls it into summaries).
  2. Include the benefit early on, it gives people another reason to open up the email.
  3. Focus on revenue and conversions, not just clicks.

If you need help adapting your email strategy or even creating one…

Click here to book a discovery call, my team can help do it for you.

Cheers,

Neil Patel

PS: If AI is rewriting your emails anyway, you might as well make sure it’s saying the right thing. We can help, let’s talk!

The annual plan closed last night. The math didn't.

Here's what I mean.

Stay on Semrush Pro for 3 years, and you'll spend over $5,000. Ahrefs Lite runs close to $4,600 over the same window. Moz Pro Standard costs around $2,850.

Ubersuggest Lifetime is one payment. One time. The clock doesn't start.

Same underlying data. Same keyword research, backlink analysis, rank tracking, site audits, competitor research. You just stop paying for it after the first transaction.

We opened a Lifetime window in January, and it moved faster than we expected. We're opening another this weekend.

Semrush doesn't offer Lifetime. Ahrefs doesn't. Moz doesn't either. Nobody in this category does, which is exactly why these windows close quickly when we run them.

Check out our lifetime plan

Neil Patel

How to drive revenue from content that gets no clicks

What if your best content never gets clicked…but still drives revenue?

That’s exactly what’s happening right now.

AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and tools like Perplexity are changing how people search.

Users aren’t clicking links like they used to. They’re getting answers instantly.

Which means:

❌ Ranking #1 doesn’t guarantee traffic anymore

❌ And traffic doesn’t guarantee influence

Because decisions are happening before someone ever visits your site.

So the real question is:

If your brand isn’t being mentioned in those answers…

Do you even exist?

In this upcoming webinar…

How to Get Cited in AI: AI Overviews, ChatGPT & the New “Answer Engines”

Tuesday, May 5 at 8 a.m. PDT

We’re breaking down:

✅ How search is shifting to answer engines

✅ Why rankings are being replaced by citations

✅ And how to make sure your brand is the one AI recommends

Because in the AI era…

Visibility isn’t about being found.

It’s about being chosen.

👉 Save your spot for the webinar.

We’ll show you how to adapt your strategy so you don’t just rank, you influence decisions.

Cheers,

Neil Patel

This is the biggest SEO mistake companies still make

When you used Google a few years ago you used to search with broad terms.

Now when you use Google you type in sentences.

This has changed how keyword research and SEO fundamentally work.

Between AI search, ChatGPT, and Google’s AI Overviews, people rarely search for 2 or 3 word search terms. Searchers are very specific and, in many cases, type in a sentence or at least 7 to 11 words per search query.

Chasing “high-volume” keywords isn’t as effective as it used to be. Search volume is still useful as directional data, but it shouldn’t be the primary factor we rely on—especially as many of those terms no longer drive the volume they once did.

To adapt your keyword research for today’s world, follow these steps.

Or, if you need help with your keyword strategy…

Book a discovery call with an expert from my team.

Cheers,

Neil Patel

P.S. Most companies focus on volume, but the real money is in intent. If you need help discovering true keyword intent, let’s talk!

The most common reply I get when I run this offer is some version of: “I’ve been meaning to upgrade but kept putting it off.”

I get it. It never feels urgent until something breaks.

Here’s what I’ve noticed. The people who upgrade to annual aren’t the ones who need it most urgently. They’re the ones who’ve already been using the free version for a while, already know what the platform does, and just decide to stop putting it off.

You know what Ubersuggest does. You’ve run the reports. You’ve seen the data.

For $16/month, the annual plan gives you everything and saves you 5 months versus paying monthly.

This deal closes Wednesday, April 23.

This is how AI is changing paid search

Your paid search campaigns didn’t suddenly get worse. The environment around them changed.

CPCs are rising.

CTR is dropping.

Performance feels harder to scale.

But here’s what’s actually happening:

Users aren’t searching the same way anymore. They’re asking.

AI tools like ChatGPT and Google’s AI Overviews are answering questions *before* someone ever clicks an ad.

This is the shift most marketers are missing:

You’re no longer competing for a position. You’re competing to be included in the answer.

Google vs ChatGPT: here’s the truth

Everyone’s talking about Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity.

And yes, AI is changing how people discover things.

But here’s the reality:

Google still handles 13.7+ billion searches a day. AI is growing fast, but search is still where demand starts.

What is changing is this:

AI Overviews are taking over the results page. And when they show up, users don’t click around. They read the summary and trust the sources it cites.

Those citations?

That’s the new “blue link.” If you’re not included, you’re invisible.

We’re already helping clients adapt.

Take Vinyl Institute.

We didn’t rely on ads or hacks. We focused on:

✔ Authoritative, intent-driven content

✔ Strong E-E-A-T signals (expertise, trust, credibility)

✔ Structuring content for both search engines and AI systems

The result:

  • A 4,540% increase in Google AI Overview Citations
  • Stronger presence in high-intent searches
  • Clear authority in their category

It’s about being cited, trusted, and chosen. Across Google and AI.

If you want us to do what we did for Vinyl Institute for your business…

Neil Patel

Your marketing data is lying to you

Most marketing reports look good.

Traffic is up. Conversions look steady. ROAS seems strong.

But here’s the truth:

They’re often misleading. Because you aren’t seeing your revenue go up.

My team breaks all of this down in a recent post.

Here’s what’s going wrong:

❌ Attribution is flawed

❌Tracking is incomplete

❌And many metrics are easy to game

So you end up scaling what looks good…

Not what actually drives revenue.

The shift smart companies are making:

✔️Measuring incrementality (what actually drives growth)

✔️Focusing on revenue and profit—not just conversions

✔️Prioritizing customer quality and lifetime value

Because marketing isn’t about dashboards. It’s about results.

If you want help getting better results and scaling what actually works…

👉Let's set up a discovery call.

The best marketers don’t rely on perfect data, they focus on what actually drives growth.

Cheers,

Neil Patel

Let me guess your current setup.

You’re paying for a keyword research tool. A separate backlink checker. Maybe a site audit tool. A rank tracker. And now you probably need something for AI visibility too.

Add it all up, and you’re looking at $300 to $500 a month. Easily.

Here’s what I’d do instead.

Ubersuggest does all of it. Keyword research, backlink analysis, site audits, rank tracking, content ideas, and AI Search Visibility across Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. One tool. One dashboard.

And it starts at just $29 a month. That’s not $29 for one feature. That’s $29 for the entire stack.

I’m not saying this because I built it. I’m saying it because the math doesn’t make sense any other way. If you’re paying for multiple tools that do what one tool already does, you’re overspending.

Consolidate. Save your money. Put the difference toward content, ads, or whatever actually moves the needle for your business.

Your best blog posts are probably losing traffic right now.

It happens to everyone. Google favors fresh content. So the posts that were crushing it six months ago? They’re slowly sliding down the rankings while newer content takes their place.

Most people respond by writing more new content. That’s the hard way. The easy way? Update what you already have.

A refreshed post with new stats, new examples, and a few additional keyword variations can jump right back to where it was, and sometimes higher. Google sees the updated timestamp, re-crawls the page, and re-evaluates it against the competition.

I do this with my own content every single month. It’s the highest-ROI activity in my entire SEO strategy.

Try this right now:

  • Go to your Ubersuggest dashboard and click Rank Tracking.
  • Sort by position dropped.
  • Pick the top 3 pages that slipped and update them this week.
  • Add new data points. Answer new questions. Expand the thin sections. Then let Google re-index it and watch the rankings bounce back.

Find your decaying content right here →

And if you haven’t tried our AI writer, make sure you upgrade to a lifetime account so you can make the most of it. It can help rewrite your content that’s losing rankings and update it to be more SEO and human-friendly.

And as a bonus, it also helps you get more ChatGPT traffic.

Cheers,
Neil Patel

This is how paid ads are shifting due to LLMs

Your paid search campaigns didn’t suddenly get worse. The system around them changed.

CPCs are up. CTRs are down.

And most teams are responding the same way:

Optimize more. Test more. push harder.

But the issue isn’t effort. It’s that users aren’t behaving the same way anymore.

They’re not searching. They’re asking.

AI is answering questions before people ever click.

Now, here’s the important part: Paid search still works.

In fact, for newer brands without strong organic visibility, it’s often the fastest way to capture demand.

But it’s no longer the first touchpoint.

In my next webinar I will break down what’s happening and how to adapt.

Paid Search Isn’t What It Used to Be: The LLM Shift Explained

Tuesday, April 21 at 8 a.m. PDT

You’ll learn:

✔ Why paid search feels less predictable (even when it’s working)

✔ How AI is intercepting users earlier in the journey

✔ Where paid search still delivers the most value

✔ How to adapt your strategy without rebuilding everything

You’re not just competing for clicks anymore. You’re competing to be included in the decision.

👉 Save your seat here.

See you there,

Neil Patel

PS: If you rely heavily on paid to drive growth, this shift is already impacting you—whether you see it yet or not. If you want help with a new strategy, let’s talk.

Why small and midsize businesses should care about Reddit

Reddit is going all-in on AI search.

They’re building AI-powered experiences to surface conversations, opinions, and recommendations from their threads.

This isn’t random.

Users already go to Reddit for real answers. Now AI is making those answers easier to find.

If you are wondering why this matters, it’s because Google and ChatGPT have deals with Reddit.

And these changes are affecting both Google and ChatGPT results in new ways.

We had a client where negative Reddit threads were outranking their own site on Google:

✔ We created 4 branded profiles on Reddit

✔ A weekly SEO lead thread discovery

✔ We participated in conversations daily

✔ We corrected misinformation and linked to helpful guides

We got 98% positive feedback, 181 comments, and 12,000+ views on brand-led conversations.

And more importantly, the results on Google and ChatGPT changed, which caused the client to rank higher and generate more sales.

Whether your customers are on Reddit or not, it affects your rankings.
If you want us to create and implement a more effective SEO strategy for you…

We look forward to chatting with you.

PS: This is one of those shifts where your brand is being shaped without you. If you want to take control of that narrative, let’s talk.

This is why your web pages don’t ranking when they should (and here’s the fix)

Whether you realize it or not, you are making this mistake.

You have multiple pages on your site targeting the same keyword.

It may not seem obvious, but it’s almost always the case.

For example, if you specalize in selling pet food, you naturally have multiple pages targeting “dog food”.

The same would be the case if you are an accountant offering tax services. You have multiple pages targeting similar tax keywords.

This causes confusion with Google. They don’t know which page to rank.

This is called keyword cannibalization, and it quietly kills rankings.

Instead of one strong page… you end up with multiple weaker ones.

Google gets confused. Authority gets split. Rankings drop.

The fix isn’t creating more content. It’s structuring what you already have the right way.

In this post, I break down how to fix it. I cover:

✔ How to find cannibalization issues fast

✔ What to merge, delete, or redirect

✔ How to prevent it going forward

If your traffic isn’t turning into rankings or revenue, this is usually part of the problem.

If you want my team to just analyze your site, find the cannibalization issues, and fix them…

The Google update just finished. Here’s what’s working.

Everyone's rankings shifted. Did you go up or down?  ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏

The Google March 2026 core update has been rolling out for a week, and the rankings are definitely shuffling.

Some sites jumped. Some sites dropped. A lot of people are panicking right now.

Here's what we're seeing across the data:

The winners are the sites with real expertise and authority signals. Original research. First-person experience. Strong backlink profiles from trusted sources.

The losers are the sites that leaned too hard on generic AI-generated content without adding anything original.

Google is getting better at telling the difference. And this update made that very clear.

Now's the time to check where your site landed.

Try this right now:

  • Log into your Ubersuggest dashboard.
  • Go to your Rank Tracking report.
  • Look for the biggest drops and the biggest wins.

If you went up, great. Double down on what's working. If you went down, now you know exactly which pages need attention. Either way, you can't fix what you don't measure.

Check your rankings right here →

And if you haven't yet, check out our lifetime plan. Pay once and keep growing your traffic, and get insights ahead of time so you do better during Google's updates.

Cheers,
Neil Patel

P.S. Need help understanding what the update did to your site? Just hit reply, and my team will take a look at your rank tracking data and help you figure out your next move.

SEO is changing fast. This is how to use AI to keep up

Search is going through the biggest transformation in a decade.

Google is shifting toward AI-generated answers, conversational queries, and more results appearing directly in the SERP.

But most SEO workflows still look like this:

Keyword research → export data → write content → optimize → publish.

One article can take weeks. Meanwhile, AI-native teams are publishing 10x more content.

That's exactly what we're breaking down in our upcoming webinar:

AI-Powered SEO: How to Actually Use AI to Drive SEO Results

Tuesday, April 7 at 8 a.m. PDT

In this session, I'll show you:

  • Why the traditional keyword → blog post → ranking model is breaking
  • How to combine real search data with AI to produce better content faster
  • A 3-step workflow that cuts content creation time from hours to minutes
  • How tools like Ubersuggest, AnswerThePublic, and Composeo work together

The big takeaway:

AI alone won't win in SEO.

AI powered by search data will.

👉Save your seat here.

See you in a few days,

Neil Patel

This is why 98% of your traffic doesn’t convert

When people hear "CRO", they think landing pages.

But here's the reality:

Roughly 2% of your traffic converts.

That means 98%+ leaves without taking action.

And most businesses try to fix that in one place—their website.

That's the mistake because CRO happens everywhere.

✔ Your ads

✔ Your emails

✔ Your social content

✔ Your search and LLM presence

Every touchpoint either moves someone closer to conversion… or loses them.

The brands that win? They test across the entire journey.

✔ Different creatives

✔ Different messaging

✔ Different offers

Because small lifts across multiple channels compound into real revenue.

And it works! We did this for Easy on Hold, and they saw a 200% increase in conversions.

And the best part?

You don't need more traffic to grow. You just need to convert more of what you already have.

👉 Book a discovery call so we can help you map out your CRO strategy.

Cheers,

Neil Patel
