A recent study found that when Google Personal Intelligence is turned on, AI Mode can use signals from apps like Gmail and Photos to shape answers. Here’s the interesting part: When someone had emails from a brand in their Gmail inbox, that brand appeared in 53.6% of AI Mode responses and moved higher in ranking position. That changes how you should think about email. Email isn’t just a channel for opens, clicks, and revenue anymore. It’s also becoming a visibility signal. If someone subscribes to your emails, Google may recognize your brand as part of that person’s digital world, even if they don’t open every email. That means SEO and email need to work together:
