New Changes Happening at DZone!

Check out some new changes to the DZone website!
DZone

Hello DZone Community Members!

Greetings from your friendly neighborhood Community Engagement Manager!

I wanted to quickly bring you some exciting updates to our website that rolled out yesterday evening.

First, when you visit the homepage today, you may notice that there is a new navigation bar at the top. We've redesigned our content categories and Zones to more closely reflect something we all understand pretty well, the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Now, when you visit DZone.com, you'll see that top nav bar has been reorganized to include five categories that mirror the SDLC:

-       Coding

-       Culture and Methodologies

-       Data Engineering

-       Software Design and Architecture

-       Testing, Deployment, and Maintenance

Our main goal with this update is to make the content easier for you to consume by allowing you to focus on the areas that align with your development needs. We've also made sure to better surface more useful resources like our Refcards and Trend Reports by topic to help you to further expand your development journey.

And don't worry – nothing has changed on your end. You can still submit articles the same way you always have.

Second, we're now going to be highlighting some of the most knowledgeable experts and contributors across our 25 Zones (up from 14!). These Zones are now subcategories under each SDLC stage. Within each Zone, we will be featuring four experts from our community who are some of our best and most active contributors - those who are truly knowledge leaders in their space!

We will be rotating these on a regular cadence and experts will be chosen based on their knowledge of the discipline, the quality of their contributions, and how active they are within our community. You could be one of our featured experts!

For a bit more in depth look at all the changes, check out our article.

Whew! I think those are enough changes for one day, but there's a whole lot more to come in 2023 so stay tuned! For now, head on over and explore the new changes, follow your favorite expert contributor, and feel free to drop us a line at community@dzone.com with any questions or feedback on the new navigation.

We so appreciate everything you all do for us and we know we would not be here without you! THANK YOU!

Sincerely,

Jason Cockerham

This is why your blog isn't growing in traffic

46% of companies of companies are unsuccessful with their content marketing because of this...

Most people write content based on what they want to write on.

But if you write on the same keywords over and over again you'll find that your traffic won't really go up by much... if any.

You have to keep finding not just new topics to write on, but new keywords as well.

In essence you have to look at "content gaps".

It's really easy to do and it helps ensure that every piece of content you write helps grow your traffic.

Here's how to find content gaps.

Take 5 minutes and make sure you check it out. It will save you time in the long run.

Cheers,

Neil Patel

Hope it gives you a new perspective on digital marketing.

Cheers,

Neil Patel

PS: By the way, I still love SEO. I just happen to focus more on social media.
