Don't build backlinks next year, do this instead

When you do a Google search, do ever say to yourself...

"This result should rank number 1 because it has so many backlinks."

I doubt it. The reality is, all you really care is if the top result gives you what you want. If it doesn't you go to the next result.

It's that simple.

Now I know links do impact rankings, but there is something more important you should focus on first.

Here it is.

Cheers

The 15% of Google searches nobody targets

Did you know that 15% of daily searches are new to Google?

Meaning that out of the 5.6 billion daily searches on Google, 840 million have never been searched before.

Someone has to rank all those terms.

But how can you do that for all the terms that won't appear in any SEO tool?

One way is to write the most thorough content in your niche.

When I write 3,000-5,000 word posts, I'm not just targeting my top keywords and long tails by going into such excruciating detail. I'm also indirectly targeting all the adjacent terms that nobody has searched yet!

Over time, that 15% extra traffic really begins to add up. And when you add that to the dozens of other SEO hacks we know, your traffic can really explode.

Schedule a call with my team and we'll show you how this strategy and others can help you grow your business.

Cheers,

Neil Patel
