Boost your ranking without publishing more content

Most marketers think that if they want to rank higher on Google, they need to keep putting out fresh content.

I'm not saying that's a bad strategy... but there's another way that can lead to results much faster.

We analyzed 5,000 websites that generate more than 100,000 visitors a month.

And we found that on average, 20% of their content drove 68.12% of their SEO traffic.

So, instead of publishing more blog posts, you should focus on expanding your most popular blog posts.

Here's how:

  • Log into Google Search Console.
  • See what keywords your most popular posts rank for.
  • Cover any topics you'd like to rank higher for more thoroughly within that blog post.

Keep in mind, this only works if you're adding more value and keep your content extremely high quality.

You don't want to add unnecessary fluff or risk getting penalized for keyword stuffing.

This can be a bit of a balancing act.
